Any other way, the amount also carries a rate buffer against the rate moving while the payment travels — 0.10% on stablecoins, 0.60% on ETH, BTC, BNB, SOL, TON and TRX, 1.25% on POL. Paying out your accepted balance carries the network fee of that payout: we withhold the measured gas cost plus a small buffer, so a fee spike between quote and send never puts the transfer at a loss. The withholding applies on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and BNB Chain. Payouts on our home network cost you nothing extra, because we carry that one ourselves, and before a payout leaves, the dashboard shows what will be sent and what the network fee takes.
Those are floors, not fixed prices: the working minimum also follows what it costs to move the money on that chain right now, so it rises when the network is busy. The live figure for each method is on the payment page before the payer sends anything.

The floor on small amounts
Moving money across a network costs the network something, and that cost barely changes with the size of the transfer. On a $2,000 payout our percentage covers it easily. On a $2 payout, a percentage would be less than the delivery itself, so somebody has to eat the difference, and if we pretended otherwise it would come out of the recipient’s amount.
So there is a small floor per recipient that covers delivery. On a small amount it is the floor rather than the percentage that applies: our fee is whichever of the two is larger, and the quote shows the figure before you sign. It is never taken quietly out of what the recipient gets.

Embedding Cherum in your own app? The terms are public and there is no ladder to climb: you set your own markup on top of our fee (up to 3% on the payouts widget, up to 5% on the swap widget), and all of it is yours. When a transfer runs through our contract, it reaches your wallet in the same on-chain transaction; on routes without our contract it accrues in the dashboard, capped at 1%, and we pay it out on request.
